Willem Oltmans has kept a diary from his recent years. In 1985, he began to publish those diaries as reproductions as ‘memoires’. The first part had a blue cover with orange lettering. In the next part, it was exactly the opposite. And so on. At the time of his death in 2004, only 16 parts were published. Since then, the Willem Oltmans Foundation, co-founded by him, has collaborated with the publisher Papieren Tijger for the publication of the remaining 60 parts. The project must be completed for its 100th birth year (2025).
